Atomic Backland Carbon
Description: In the fast-and-light category, Atomic's new Backland Carbons are among the very lightest, have the best range of cuff motion, and feature a unique heat moldable Memory Fit shell that works well with wider and higher volume feet.
Bootfitters' comments: The Radical offers a no-compromises crossover between the off-area and on—as well as between the up and the down. This boot is a descending machine with a firm flex feel remains lightweight and offers a long and friction-free touring range of motion.
Description: The Vulcan offers strong performance on the descent and the capability to control modern freeride skis at any speed. You can also vary stiffness of the flex.
Bootfitters' comments: Wow! what a Boot! Lightweight with good cuff range in hiking mode. The fit is tight, with solid heel hold, narrow through the midfoot and has just enough flare in the forefoot to accommodate a medium width foot. The flex is stiff when fully locked up and the boot skis like a dream when charging big lines at full speed. This boot suits the strong skier who wants a solid performance when descending.
Description: The new definition of free touring: performance and precision including direct power transmission and maximum hold
Dynafit Khion Carbon
Description: The new definition of free touring: performance and precision including direct power transmission and maximum hold united in the exclusive carbon version
Tecnica Cochise Light Pro
Description: A minimalist approach applied to the benchmark Cochise series, the Light Pro gives the true backcpountry skier unrivaleved decent quality coupled with a truly lightweight set up.
The new Cochise shell shape adds improvement that means more versatility. This boot is nice and light, the hike mode is easy to access and operate and the flex uncompromised by the light weight. This boot can be used as an everyday boot and will happily ride the chair lift with the skier who is keen to ski lines that were both lift accessed as well as earned. The liner is on the thin side, however customisable.
