About Boot Solutions
Boot Solutions is a specialist winter retailer who have been operating in Japan since 2005, now having three stores across Niseko and Hakuba. After starting out with a tight focus on custom bootfitting, our stores have evolved into the ultimate ski and snowboard shop experience, specialising in custom bootfitting, hardgoods, outerwear, accessories, and at some stores, premium equipment rental.
As we expand our seasonal operations, we’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support our campaigns, digital content, and community engagement.
Role Overview
As Marketing Assistant, you’ll work directly under the Marketing Manager to execute digital and local marketing initiatives. You’ll help shape our voice across platforms, monitor digital communications, support event activations, and ensure our seasonal campaigns run smoothly. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is looking to build on their professional experience while living and skiing in one of the snowiest places on earth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing digital communications across email, social media, and web.
- Manage and produce EDM campaigns.
- Support digital content creation including photography, video, and copywriting.
- Contribute to local activations and local marketing efforts.
- Assist with event coordination, signage, and branded materials.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams on campaign planning and reporting.
- Provide on-the-ground support during peak periods.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Prior experience in a marketing role.
- Strong digital marketing skills, particularly social media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication (English required; Japanese a plus).
- Eligible to work in Japan (valid work visa is essential).
- Comfortable working in a seasonal, high-energy environment.
- Personal experience skiing or snowboarding.
- Japanese or International Drivers Licence
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with Mailjet, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools.
- Photography or video editing experience.
- Japanese language proficiency.
- Knowledge of Niseko or similar alpine destinations.
Salary
Starting at ¥320,000 per month.
