Winter Footwear
Winter conditions are generally cold and snowy here in Japan, so when you’re not on the slopes it’s important to have a quality pair of après boots. This will ensure that your feet stay warm and dry, and that you have good grip on the snow and ice, which is essential when walking around the Niseko area.
Our Niseko stores carry an expansive range of après boots for both adults and children, with our adult range going right up to 31.5CM. At this point in time, we do not stock winter footwear at our Hakuba store.
Daichi Gomu
Daichi Gomu is a heritage footwear manufacturer based in Otaru, Hokkaido, and are known for crafting durable winter boots that thrive in Hokkaido’s harsh environment. Locally made and deeply trusted by generations of Japanese residents, Daichii Gomu boots are designed with the realities of northern winters in mind: icy sidewalks, deep snow, and sub-zero temperatures.
What sets Daichii Gomu apart is their use of natural rubber, formulated with a softer compound that grips better on frozen surfaces. Unlike harder synthetic soles that can slip in cold weather, Daichii’s rubber remains pliable and tacky, offering superior traction where it matters most.
Many models also feature integrated metal spikes—strategically placed for grip on ice and snow, and designed so you never need to remove them. It’s a no-fuss solution for navigating winter streets safely and confidently.
At Boot Solutions, we’re proud to carry Daichii Gomu boots as part of our commitment to functional, locally relevant gear.
